Abolish The Elite, Abolish The Monarchy

I don’t expect this to be the most popular rant I’ve ever put together, because I’m sure some of you absolutely adore the pomp and pageantry, the Pimms in the park, and excitingly waving your little plastic flags to show your approval of your unelected ruler.

Just out of curiosity, how many of you voted to leave the European Union using the “unelected bureaucrats” Faragesque line, while doffing your cap and tugging your forelock to 773 unelected peers and a Royal Family that should’ve been abolished shortly after Jacob Rees-Mogg was born, in 1812?

Is it because you only like British unelected bureaucrats?

How many of you also like to complain about benefit claimants and single mums getting a free council house without realising your Queen is Britain’s longest serving benefit claimant living in Britain’s most opulent council homes, using millions of your cash to bail out her child sexual abuser son?

Sorry, something I said?

How is Andrew? Is he recovering from ‘Covid-19’, or was it more of a case of him suffering from Virginia,16?

One may well be able to purchase their freedom, but they cannot purchase anything to restore their reputation.

You see, going by the media coverage you would think most of the nation is celebrating the Platinum Jubilee. But it is simply untrue.

Granted, a 4 day bank holiday has its positives, particularly if you’re one of the “any excuse for a piss up” knobheads that get in my way in Asda with their trolly-loads of flavourless weak gnats piss, when all I want to do is see what’s available in the reduced to clear aisle.

That reminds me, don’t you remember them calling Jeremy Corbyn “unpatriotic”?

The same Jeremy Corbyn pledged to introduce 4 new UK-wide bank holidays for each of the patron saints of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

You ended up with the corrupt criminal liar Boris Johnson turning Downing Street into the Ministry of Sound, firmly raising his middle finger to each and every one of us.

You ended up with a Prime Minister that is above the very laws that his government introduced- with the assistance of the Labour Party.

But some of you, and many in the media, are happy to insist you should keep looking up to the political classes, and the manipulative demagogue Johnson, because they know best.

You have every right to support your Etonians, your hereditary peers, and of course, your Royal Family, but why are you shoving it down the throats of people who have no interest in your racist Royal Family?

I’ll tell you what patriotism is.

Patriotism is striving for equality. Patriotism is ensuring the rich pay their fair share of taxes. Patriotism is going out and voting for something you believe in.

Your idea of patriotism, or what you are taught from a young age, is a feeling of devotion and attachment to one’s own homeland.

But that doesn’t work if your homeland is a corrupt cesspit, ruled by monsters, where the rich applaud the spending of £1.3 billion on a multi-billionaire jewel hoarder while some 8.5 million households are living in fuel poverty and children are eating food out of street bins.

How is this controversial? How can you feel attached to a country that breeds ignorance and hatred? How have you allowed yourself to become a victim of conformity?

Think what you like, Queenistas, but I’m afraid Britain no longer rules the waves, it simply waives the rules.

And that will not change when the government spends at least £250 million building the Queen a new Royal yacht, that with the greatest of respect, the Queen is unlikely to see, unless they’ve got Zoom up and running in the afterlife.

The capital city you flock to so you can show your unquestionable loyalty to the billionaire is also the global capital city of money laundering. But let’s ignore the corruption and wave a few shitty little unrecyclable plastic flags and it’ll all be fine, right?

Going by the news coverage you could quite easily believe that you’re the only person in the entire Commonwealth not to be out there euphorically celebrating 70 years of subservience to the ancient one.

But you shouldn’t believe that. Open your door and take a look around and you too will wonder where all of those flag-waving imbeciles in The Mall are being bussed in from.

Are we sure the BBC haven’t digitally remastered the celebrations from 1977? I wonder how much of your licence fee has been wasted on covering this fucking repugnant festival of national dick waving?

Why do we even need a head of state? The contemporary Royals have no genuine power. The role is ceremonial and simply in place to remind us that we are the commoners and they are the elite.

Liz Windsor’s personal jewel collection is said to be worth £5 billion. Or about 10 brand new NHS hospitals. It is made up of some 23,578 diamonds and gemstones, many of which were robbed from countries invaded and enslaved by Britain.

I haven’t heard that mentioned anywhere over the last few miserable days, have you? Where does that fit on the ‘proud to be British’ scale?

In an ideal world we should be able to get to the end of the Queen’s reign and be grown up enough to realise this inbred family of billionaires, racists and sex offenders isn’t befitting of a modern Britain in 2022, or whatever year it may be.

But the British people enjoy being told what to do, they admire their Queen and the family of freeloaders, so that ideal world I would love to get to isn’t a likely destination in the near future.

So why can’t we have a referendum? I’m a Democratic Socialist. Why not give all 4 nations the opportunity to decide if they want to be ruled by these dysfunctional multi-billionaire overlords?

Australia is beginning to look at ways to become a republic, and I absolutely support their quest in doing so.

Jamaica’s Prime Minister, Andrew Holnes, told Prince William back in March that his country plans to become an independent republic, with no monarch and no Royal family.

Guyana made the decision to remove the Queen as head of state in 1970. Trinidad and Tobago followed in 1976 and Dominica in 1978. Just last year, Barbados also scrapped the Monarchy.

It’s not just us.

A monarchy is a violation of human rights, for it’s a mockery of equality, dignity and character. We are not viewed as humans, we are viewed as loyal subjects.

And that doesn’t work for me.

Abolish the elite, abolish the monarchy.

Until next time,

Rachael
