Let’s get the date out of the way first of all. Yes, the local elections are to be held on May 4th. No, I’m not a fan of Star Wars and can guarantee you this won’t be filled with nonsensical jokes, apart from the nonsensical joke, Keir Starmer.   On 4 May, more than 8,000 seats will be contested at 230 councils across England. Mayoral elections are also taking place in Bedford, Leicester, Mansfield and Middlesbrough.  The Tories are bracing themselves for a fucking hammering.
