Starmer’s War On Corbyn Will End In Defeat For Labour

“I will not be intimidated into silence. I have spent my life fighting for a fairer society on behalf of the people of Islington North, and I have no intention of stopping now."

Fighting talk.

Be in no doubt, Jeremy Corbyn has a personal mandate in his own constituency which most MPs can only ever dream of. The name Corbyn is as big as the Labour brand.

Forty years dedicated to the people of Islington North, and nine Prime Ministers later, you could almost understand if Jeremy wanted to spend a bit more time at the allotment.

But when Mr Corbyn says that he has “no intention of stopping now”, I believe him. Don’t you?

You’d be a fool not to.

All that remains of Jeremy Corbyn’s seven-decade long relationship with the Labour Party is his membership card, and if he does stand as an independent, as expected, the membership card will go in the bin because Jeremy will be excluded from Starmer’s neoliberal Labour.

Keir Starmer’s blatant attack on democracy cannot go unanswered. The corrupt right-wing will give Starmer a free ride because Starmer is an accomplice rather than an antagonist. He’s one of their own.

The Labour Party wants to retain Islington North - names in the frame to contest the seat for Labour include Anna Turley, Mary Creagh, and the private healthcare CEO, Praful Nargun - and if Professor John Curtice is to be believed, Mr Corbyn would struggle to beat the Labour Party.

Curtice said, “I’m sure he (Corbyn) will do creditably but the history of independent candidates trying to hang on to their seats shows it is very, very difficult to do.”

What Mr Curtice failed to mention was Jeremy Corbyn had a 1 in 200 chance of leading the Labour Party in 2015 yet 2 years later he was just 2.227 votes away from having a chance to be Prime Minister.

Shameless Keir Starmer claims having Mr Corbyn stand for the Labour Party in Islington would be an “electoral liability”, yet just over 3 years ago he was telling you to make Jeremy Corbyn your Prime Minister.

Keir Starmer fails to mention how Labour's vote share rose by more than 20% among 18 to 25-year-olds between 2015 and 2017 under the leadership of Jeremy Corbyn.

Electoral liability? Pull the other one, Keith.

The motion put forward to Labour’s NEC by Keir Starmer was a fundamentally dishonest stitch up and it sets a very dangerous precedent.

Despite Ed Miliband’s disgraceful attempt to leverage antisemitism into the reasoning for blocking Jeremy the motion made absolutely no mention of antisemitism. Be clear of that.

How short Miliband’s memory must be.

When the tax-shy right-wing Daily Mail went for Ralph Miliband it was Jeremy Corbyn that defended Mr Miliband’s honour, calling out the despicable attack for what it was.

Starmer’s unashamed opportunism is almost as repugnant as his contempt for left-wing Labour Party members, particularly in Islington North.

The term “democratic socialism” has no place in Starmer’s Labour Party. Democracy is dead. Socialism is a disease that must be contained through fear of it spreading to those who need it most.

I caught socialism some time ago now, inspired by Jeremy Corbyn and the politics of hope. Finally, a mainstream politician was talking about the things that really mattered to you and I after 5 years of Tory austerity.

Just think, Keir Starmer’s Labour Party will be fielding at least one former Conservative MP at the next general election, but they are so desperate to banish socialism they cannot find a place for Jeremy Corbyn?

Oddly enough, the surname Starmer comes from the Old English words sterre, or starre, which meant star, and would have been given to someone with a bright personality. LOL.

Starmer is so frustratingly dull. He has the personality of a damp broom handle and the likability of an impassable kidney stone.

I don’t buy into this lesser of two Tories nonsense. If it looks like a Tory, walks like a Tory, and talks like a Tory, then it probably is a Tory.

I’ve got an idea for you, Keir Starmer. Why don’t YOU stand against Jeremy Corbyn in Islington North and give your very safe seat to some other Blairite drone with the charm of an anal fissure? Let’s see you put your donors' money where your mouth is.

As if enough of Jeremy Corbyn’s supporters aren’t already going to flood the streets of Islington with a message of justice, equality, peace and hope.

Throw the ignoble and contemptible Starmer on to the ballot at Islington North when the next general election comes around and the Labour Party will be looking for a new leader the following morning.

Jeremy Corbyn is so much better than what the Labour Party has become. Sure, he didn’t get everything right during his time in charge, but his honesty, decency, and wholehearted belief in the power of community set him apart from the liars and detractors that plotted his downfall before he even won the Labour leadership contest - the first time around.

The hope of a better tomorrow was so much more than just a slogan under Jeremy’s leadership. It was, and still is, a deeply held belief that we can do things differently, where ambition can thrive, regardless of background.

We don’t have to accept a rigged economy where the rich continue to grow and hoard wealth at the expense of the poor and working classes. Why on earth should we? And that includes you, Stevenage Woman.

We’ve had 13 miserable years of capitalism dying on its arse, so why do we need or want Keir Starmer to serve up another bloody great slice of it for another 5 years?

It doesn’t matter what colour rosette you end up pinning to a pile of shit because it will still be a pile of shit underneath the pretty ribbons.

Are we getting through to the Starmer supporters yet? I fucking doubt it. These factional degenerates hate socialists more than Tories because their anti-state, pro-big business ideology is a million miles closer to the Tories than it will ever be to those of us with a social conscience.

And Mr Jeremy Corbyn is one of those people with a social conscience, because he is one of us.

Corbyn is a proud socialist. He believes in reversing austerity cuts to public services and welfare funding made since 2010. He believes in the renationalisation of public utilities and the railways. He believes in free education from cradle to grave. He believes in ending rough sleeping and homelessness. He believes in a cleaner, greener future. He believes in unity, justice, peace and equality for all.

And I believe in Jeremy Corbyn to win Islington North at the next general election.

Until next time,

Rachael
