“This Is What Our Ruling Class Has Decided Will Be Normal”

Facts:

"Starvation is being used as a weapon of war against Palestinians living in Gaza. Virtually no aid is getting into Gaza, and whatever aid Israel might allow to trickle in is insufficient and cannot be safely distributed to civilians who are being forced to run for their lives.”

"Denying civilians sufficient food, as well as water, fuel and critical humanitarian aid is a serious violation of international law, and collective punishment. It may also meet the threshold for the crime against humanity."

— Sally Abi Khalil, Oxfam International’s Regional Director in the Middle East and North Africa

Gaza is witnessing the worst level of malnutrition worldwide.”

"Pregnant women are not receiving the nutrition and healthcare they need, making them more susceptible to disease and increasing risks of death during childbirth,"

"One of our staff members who is now in Rafah has spoken about his time in the north with no clean water - and how he would buy 7UP on the black market, shake it until the fizz was gone and add powdered formula milk to feed his baby.”

"With a total lack of clean water this is what families are resorting to."

— Randa Ghazy, Regional Media Manager for Save The Children

"There is no reason to intentionally block the passage of humanitarian aid or intentionally obliterate small-scale fishing vessels, greenhouses and orchards in Gaza - other than to deny people access to food,"

“In my view as a UN human rights expert, this is now a situation of genocide. This means the state of Israel in its entirety is culpable and should be held accountable - not just individuals or this government or that person."

— Michael Fakhri, the UN special rapporteur on the right to food.

It hasn’t even been two weeks since the SNP ceasefire motion was derailed by the disgraced friends of Israel, Starmer and Hoyle, and we’ve somehow gone from trying to stop a genocide to finding an extra £31 million to keep MPs safe from from anti-genocide protestors.

It takes some fucking serious brass neck for British MPs - who have spent the last 5 months bleating about “self-defence”, while Israel ruthlessly murdered 30,000 Palestinians - to make out it is in fact *they* who are the victims, rather than the starving, broken, and dying people of Gaza.

Hey Britain, Israel wants that victim card back.

The extra £31 million to keep these genocide-denying parasites safe from hurt feelings is a despicable waste of money - money that should be sent to UNRWA immediately.

At a meeting with police chiefs on Wednesday, Rishi Sunak said “mob rule is replacing democratic rule” in the UK, leaving some MPs fearing for their safety.

“We’ve got to collectively, all of us, change that urgently”, said the outgoing Prime Minister.

Sunak is absolutely right. Mob rule has replaced democratic rule. But that mob is the Zionist-occupied Conservative government and Labour opposition.

But if the Prime Minister really wants to talk about no-go area’s perhaps he could start by urgently addressing the worst genocide and humanitarian crisis of our times.

At least 30,000 people have been killed and 69,000 wounded in Gaza while an estimated 8,000 people are missing, presumed buried under the rubble of bombed-out buildings. The Americans have stated that 25,000 of the victims are women and children.

Perhaps if the Prime Minister - in charge of the most Islamophobic Tory Party in recent history - wants to talk about hate, he could start by searching inwards rather than pointing outwards?

This also applies to you, Keir Starmer. You may well wear a red tie but the cancerous ideology of Zionism runs through your veins. You are a genocide denier. You lead a racist cesspit of a corrupted political party.

The colonial settlers in the occupied territories - armed up to their eyeballs by the Israeli state - are still harassing, attacking, displacing and killing innocent Palestinians with near-impunity.

As you can see, Britain’s policy to sanction violent colonial Israeli settlers isn’t making the slightest bit of difference to the genocidal maniacs that think they shouldn’t be held to account or bound by the same international laws as the rest of humanity.

At some point, Britain is going to have to backtrack on its full-throttled support for the Zionist regime. Israel, and particularly Netanyahu, are galactically fucked.

We need to start with immediately suspending all arms sales to Israel. Better still, cancel the lot. Not one single component that contributes to the genocide of Gaza can be allowed to leave the country.

Then we must restore the stolen funding from UNRWA and coordinate the largest air drop of humanitarian aid in history with international partners - if we have any friends left.

And throughout this time, Britain must demand a full and permanent ceasefire, legislate to recognise the state of Palestine, and vitally, demand the full withdrawal of Israel and its illegal imperialist settlers from the occupied territories.

We could and should go so much further.

Removing the citizenship of any British people that are evil and twisted enough to sign up for the IOF shouldn’t be controversial. It was good enough for a 15-year-old Shamima Begum when she was child trafficked out of the country so it’s certainly good enough for genocidal executioners.

The death of Aaron Bushnell, a 25-year-old USAF airman who set himself on fire outside of the Israeli Embassy in Washington, is a tragedy in the sense of the world needing more Aaron Bushnell’s - a man with such profound commitment - to stay alive.

Bushnell’s final, extreme act will be remembered in history. It is our loss that he is no longer here with us to fight the struggle.

Israeli extremists are quick to point to Bushnell’s mental health. He worked for charities and set up a will to help Palestinians. Meanwhile Israeli forces maraude around the Gaza Strip murdering children and stealing underwear.

I really don’t think it’s the late Mr Bushnell’s mental health that should be in question. He knew exactly what he was doing and why, and he will be remembered as a hero of the Palestinian cause.

Let’s be honest. If Bushnell’s final words were “free the hostages”, Western leaders and their compliant media would hail his ultimate act of sacrificial protest with collective masturbatory glee.

The mass killings on Thursday - now known as the Flour Massacre - is exactly why Aaron Bushnell carried out his ultimate sacrifice.

More than 100 men, women, and children were brutally slaughtered by Israeli gunfire while waiting for humanitarian aid. Some were crushed into the ground by Israeli tanks, others were shot in the head.

Israel claimed the Flour Massacre was just a few “warning shots”, but this is demonstrably untrue.

The few remaining defenders of “Israel’s right to self-defence” must now recognise the pariah state cannot be reigned in. Sitting back and doing nothing simply isn’t an option if we are to learn from the genocides of the past and deter the genocides of the future.

Gaza is witnessing the fastest decline in a population's nutrition status ever recorded, thanks to Israel.

Children are being starved at the fastest rate the world has ever seen, thanks to Israel.

25,000 woman and children - tiny newborn babies - have been indiscriminately slaughtered in the most brazen act of genocide in our times, thanks to Israel.

At what point will people realise that Israel is completely out of control and wilfully leading the West down the darkest rabbit hole it has been down for generations?

The final words of this week’s rant against the machine belong to only one person: Mr Aaron Bushnell. May his dream of a free Palestine be fulfilled, and may he rest in peace.

I will no longer be complicit in genocide.”

“I am about to engage in an extreme act of protest. But compared to what people have been experiencing in Palestine at the hands of their colonisers, it’s not extreme at all. This is what our ruling class has decided will be normal.”

Until next time.
