Starmer’s New Low - Another Day Of Deep Shame Unfolds
Something for everyone here.
I’ve got two choices here. I can throw out a thousand words explaining why trusting Boris Johnson to build a ‘roadmap’ out of the Covid crisis would be like trusting him to build a bridge across the River Thames - a bridge with grass and flowers on. I think it was Amber Rudd who said something along the lines of Johnson being the life and soul of the party, but you wouldn’t want him to be the one that drives you home when the party ends.
Or we talk about the former Labour politician, Sir Keir Starmer and the simple fact his mind-boggling inability to lead a once-great party is ensuring a generation of Conservative rule. Let’s be honest here folks, Starmer is a fucking disaster for the Labour Party, and a credit to the Conservative Party.
So it’s either a roadmap, which is in fact a maze packed with booby traps, or we talk about the leader of the opposition, his abundantly obvious inability to take the Labour Party forwards, rather than rightwards, the constant toadying to the establishment, his lack of charisma, popularity, political nous, substance, socialism and not forgetting his complete lack of opposition to the most horrific and negligent government in living memory.
But at least you’ll get to have a pint.
But we swiftly move on to Sir Keir Starmer, and his band of Manic Keith Preachers. If I had a set of testicles I would gladly donate them to him.
Do you not find yourselves slightly confused by how Starmer thinks Jeremy Corbyn isn’t fit to be a Labour MP, but he thinks Matt ‘have I got a contract for you, mate’ Hancock is fit to be the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care? Am I alone in being astounded by Starmer’s behaviour? This is appalling leadership, even by his disappointing standards.
Talking of Mr Corbyn, he went quite obviously out of his way to call for Hancock’s resignation. He was right to do so, because this is what you expect from a Labour leader, not this mealy-mouthed beige bullshit that is designed to protect Johnson’s government at all costs, including any hope of making significant gains at the forthcoming local elections.
Still with me?
Starmer’s teammates shout “SHOOT”, but instead of scoring the goal, he turns 180 degrees and starts running back up the pitch, pushing over a teammate here, suspending another teammate there, before unleashing a vicious shot from the halfway line. The ball sails past Starmer’s goalie, and Keith ends up scoring one of the greatest own goals ever witnessed.
Johnson’s team just cannot believe their luck. Their own form over the past twelve months has been nothing short of diabolical and disastrous. The knight of the realm is indeed the knight in shining army.
Starmer is a gift to the Conservative Party, and the Conservative Party is a natural home for the socially conservative Starmer.
Starmer’s own personal ratings have collapsed. His Labour Party of today polled just 33% in the latest Survation poll. It is some ten months into his leadership, and he finds himself a massive 12 points behind Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour Party of December 2017.
The thing that makes this even more damning than what it already is? Corbyn was up against the second worst government in living memory. Starmer is up against the very worst government in living memory.
Am I demanding they should be twenty points ahead? Absolutely not. But Starmer should be some way clear of Johnson and the Conservatives - he isn’t, he is somewhat behind, and that is simply not good enough, no matter how the Manic Keith Preachers attempt to dress it up.
Even as I write this, a big drama is unfolding in Liverpool where Labour’s selection process for the new Mayor to replace Joe “chippy tits” Anderson has been suspended, and all three candidates have been told by the Labour Party machinery they are not invited to re-apply.
You might be wondering why this matters if you’re sat at home in Cardiff, Leeds, or even Kidderminster, so allow me to try and explain.
The clear favourite to win the Labour Party nomination was Councillor Anna Rothery. Anna is a Black socialist woman, and was endorsed widely by people such as Jeremy Corbyn, Zarah Sultana, Clive Lewis, Dawn Butler, and Richard Burgon. She also had the considerable support of Unite the Union.
Look at it this way. A senior government minister can be found guilty of acting illegally by a court of law, and the Labour leadership are absolutely okay with it, but if you are Black socialist woman you are disqualified from running to become the Mayor of the great city of Liverpool.
A source close to Anna Rothery’s positive and well-supported campaign told me -
That’s where the Labour Party is now. Democracy is dead. The purge of left-wing socialists is one thing, but making up the rules as you go along because you don’t like the thought of a Black socialist woman in a position of power is another thing altogether. It’s fucking deplorable.
This unprecedented stitch-up will end up damaging the Labour Party. The good people of Liverpool will not stand for it. They will not comply with the Starmer and Evans diktat, and they have my full support.
That’s why it matters beyond Liverpool. If you tolerate this, then your Parliamentary candidates will be next.
Councillor Rothery has confirmed she will take legal action if the Labour Party refuse to reverse their bizarre and divisive decision, and she will have a lot of support should things end up this way.
The Labour Party has turned into pretty much everything that we stand against. A vehicle for socialism has turned into a feeble, wishy-washy, we support the government, metropolitan liberal elite plaything. It is void of principles, policy-free beyond some nonsense about bonds, that have already been forgotten about, and the party leader is so bland, so bloody pointless, I honestly believe he would provide a better service by being the voice that says “The next train on Platform One, calls at Insipidsville, Spineless-upon-sea and Traitors Gate”.
Honestly, can’t he just toddle off to JP Morgan or something like that, because he certainly isn’t fit to lead the once-great Labour Party in any capacity whatsoever.
This has been another deeply shameful day for the Labour Party, and going by the anger in the networks, and I mean real anger, they’ve bitten off a damn sight more than what they can chew.
Actions have reactions. Watch this space.
Take care,
Rachael x

ReplyDeleteStarmer is very deeply out of his depth, hopefully his water treading will fail him soon. Its time to have a referendum of all trade union members to see if they support this incumbent . If not funding of the labour party should be withdrawn.
ReplyDeleteStarmer knows exactly what he is doing, as with all his other 'decisions' since becoming 'leader' it is to bring about the end of the political wing of organised Labour as an electable force.
ReplyDeleteI struggle to think of a single action or decision aimed at increasing 'electability' (that favourite phrase of Labours Right) or indeed true opposition. Little wonder the words 'establishment stooge' crop up, endlessly...
spot on
DeleteI have voted Labour for 58 years now in my mid seventies it ys absolutely horrendous watching our once great Labour party disintegrate into the shadow Tories it's time for Starmer to go to bring it back and take the red Tories with him they are not wanted either.
ReplyDeleteThe left again getting into a frenzy on identity and race politics, why have all woman shortlists anyway?
ReplyDeleteAll three candidates have an association with Joe Anderson, yet did nothing to report his negligence.
It's not about identity politics but basic party democracy.
DeleteAnd Labour have royally screwed up by doing this I can assure you.
Try not to be a f***ing idiot all your life
DeleteTry not to be a f***ing idiot all your life
DeleteJust try and do what Ldvaux advises Fluffy Bat!
DeleteAll very true but is there the will to do something about it? The Unions seem too cautious and the membership, what is left of it< has no comeback via democratic means within the party.
ReplyDeleteThe rest of the membership can carry on being members of the non-democratic LP, or they can vote with their feet.
DeleteThe truth superbly written and a powerful warning to a party thats on the edge of oblivion .listen and learn you half tory toy socialists
ReplyDeleteI sense the presence of a 'dark force' back in the Labour Party, yes its the 'Prince of Darkness' himself the one and only Peter Mandelson, whose malign influence has returned prioritising big business tax cuts over help for the people.
ReplyDeleteLabour under Starmer is more rightwing than the Tories now, more and more detached from its members and communties. Agent Starmer is doing what Thatcher could never achieve, namely the destruction of the Labour Party.
The point everybody is missing is Starmers only ambition is to destroy the labour party we got too close and now we are disbanded and heading for the cesspit on the back of jolly old kieth who will exit at the right time after he has ejected all of those hanging on . He is neither right or center of the party he is an assassin
ReplyDeleteThe Labour party traitors that stabbed Corbyn in the back, and the North east (working classes)that voted for liar Johnson in 2019,have really set us on the never ending disaster, for (ordinary)people,of Toryism and austerity for generations.
ReplyDeleteAs soon as we rid ourselves of the looney left labour will be able to govern
ReplyDeleteI'm voting for Keir starmers LABOUR PARTY 🎉
